YAK Academy Learning Centers opened its newest center in Arlington Center in September of 2014. They have come a long way since 2004, when Yak Academy first opened its doors as EarlyBirds Learning. Over the past five years, they have been fulfilling the dream of offering the best possible world language programs in a “playground” of learning and fun. Kontseptual was tasked with designing the lobby and waiting areas and to make it more kid-friendly. The client requested that we create a jungle gym. This structure also needed to serve as an impromptu bench, while parents wait for their children to finish their classwork. A stage set builder was tasked with building our “KIDS” inspired jungle gym. This was a fun project for all the parties involved as this is not your average piece of casework. We hope the design captures the vibrant spirit of youth and fulfills the basic program requirements as requested by our client.
